The Debut of a Prima Dona

For Jesi's impromptu play today, Brian, Chelsea and I were not an adequate audience.

When I saw the additional audience members, (The Incredible Hulk, her Cabbage Patch doll and other notables) that my camera did not give justice to (sorry it takes horrid in-door pics!), I began to dramatically protest in my mind, "Aaaaaa! Not another mess! House too messy; must have no more messes! I can't breathe! I think I am having an anxiety attack!" Thank goodness my ramblings were not audible; after getting off the floor from my mini stroke, I claimed that I was older than Lumpy, Brian's elephant, stole his seat while relinquishing him to the floor and joined the audience.

My diva put on quite a presentation, complete with stage floor, (pink blanket) back drop (yellow blanket), back stage (the hall), self- composed music, and props (roller skates). She even incorporated the audience as she desperately needed a live prince (Brian) who was thrilled to jump in to her arms, causing them both to bring down the house... Literally.

At the end, Sappy (one of our giraffes) was looking bored and not too bright,

Lumpy was staring with his jaw dropped,

the Incredible Hulk (always the politician!) had a very plastic smile,

and Jesi's prize tiger was looking mighty hungry.

I, on the other hand was proud as could be and after moving Chelsea away from Tiger's hungry gaze, gave my Prima Dona a STANDING ovation!

** What fun summer activities are you doing?
